Senior Football Championship (Div) 2019
Seandun will play UCC in Ballinlough on Monday May 6th at 3 pm in round 2 of the Senior Football Championship. Please support our senior football team.
U21 A Football Final
Douglas are the U21 A Football champions 2019, after overcoming St. Finbarrs by 1-15 to 0-5.
The Man of the Match award went to James Holland, Douglas, which was presented by Sponsor Kieran Barrett of The Orchard Bar, Ballinlough.
Douglas captain Darragh Kiely received the cup from John Sweeney, Chairman of Seandún, on behalf of his team.
U21 C Football Final 2019
The U21 C football final took place in Ballinlough on Saturday 27th April, with Whitechurch retaining the title after defeating Mayfield by a single point. Credit to both sides for playing good free-flowing football throughout and treating the spectators to a high scoring, close game. Whitechurch eventually came out on top by the narrowest of margins. The final score was Whitechurch 2-18 to Mayfield 4-11.
Dan Lucey, Mayfield, received the Man of the Match award for his excellent individual performance.
Captain of Whitechurch, High Woulfe received the Cup on behalf of his team from John Sweeney, Chairman of Seandún.
Cork Senior Football Championsip ( Division/College )
Seandún senior footballers began their championship campaign yesterday with a great win over Beara in Dunmanway. With a dominant first half the half time score was 1-8 to 2 points, and in the second half the outcome never really looked in doubt. The final score was 1-12 to 7 points. Congratulations to the team and the management for a well deserved win and best of luck in the next round where they will play the winners of Muskerry V UCC.
